This hour-long class is a shorter version of Serenity yoga for your busy schedule. You begin the class by lying down and being led through an opening meditation to center your awareness. Then explore a series of hip-openers to dissolve tension in your legs and hips, reclining and seated. Move through a selection of standing postures to tone the legs, loosen the shoulders and bring suppleness to the back. And then surrender into tranquility with a closing period of rest and relaxation.
This relaxing class is especially good for releasing tension in the back, shoulders and neck. It includes a gentle way to build abdominal strength through leg lifts, gentle backbends and forward bends, gentle downward dog, a series of postures for releasing tension in the shoulders, a guided self-massage and a beautiful poem by Antonio Machado "Is My Soul Asleep?" recited by Séan. During the final relaxation period Séan sings a chant-lullaby for creating peace and well being.
This relaxing class focuses on gentle postures to open and warm the heart including reclining, seated and standing backbends. Séan recites a beautiful, heart opening poem by Antonio Machado called "Last Night, As I Was Sleeping" and also sings a gentle lullaby at the end of class, coaxing you into deeper relaxation.
This medium-paced flow class begins with a soothing warm-up
consisting of reclining poses that prepare the body for deeper
opening including gentle twists, hip-openers, and poses to loosen the

modified sun salutations and standing poses for awakening vitality in
heart, mind, and body. This phase of the class includes downward

Greet the day with this class designed for morning practice, but good for any time of day. To release morning stiffness, we begin with a slower series of reclining postures for releasing tension in the legs, hips and lower back. Then we graduate to a series of simple sun salutations for awakening radiance in your body. The sun salutations gradually evolve to include chair, lunge, warrior one & two, peaceful warrior triangle and straddle poses. The class ends with boat poses, bound angle poses, seated twists, and bridge/wheel with a closing tension release excercise to liberate all remaining stress from your body.
Sean begins the class with a short talk about the spirit of yoga—oneness
and love—including quotes on unity by Ghandi, Meister Eckhart and Rumi.
He then leads a heart-opening chant — an original version of Lokah
Samastah Sukhino Bhavantu, “May all beings everywhere be happy and free.”
With the intention of nurturing love and unity in your life and the world, you
will be guided into a creative, prayerful, challenging mandala of poses
including standing poses, sitting poses, arm balances, balance poses,
backbends and hip-openers. Poses include triangle, side angle, warrior two
and three, half-moon, straddle, boat, squat, dancer, standing sage, half-seated
twist, camel, wheel, tabletop and pigeon, with lots of vinyasas in between.
At the end of class, float serenely in an ocean of oneness in savasana followed
by a gentle reprise of the opening Rumi poem and chant. This inspiring class
will leave you feeling super relaxed, at peace, and brilliantly alive. One love!
This class is inspired by a powerful poem by Rumi, translated by Coleman
Barks: "The way of love is not a subtle argument/The door there is devastation/Birds
make great sky circles of their freedom/How do they learn it?/They fall, and
falling they're given wings." Following a powerful Shiva chant to set the mood
for the class, Seán guides you through a creative series of challenging flows
with lots of visits to bird poses, an invitation to experience your arms as wings
- inspired by the poem. The bird postures explored include bird of paradise,
pigeon, double pigeon, crow and others. Ride the breath through a series
of sun salutations that integrate lunges, warrior one, warrior two, triangle,
extended side angle stretch, boat, bound angle pose, tree, shoulder stand,
bow, wheel and others. The class includes lots of laughter and postive energy with
invitations to be creative with your practice.
This energetic class opens with a poem by Kabir translated by Robert Bly called "The Clay Jug". The poem inspires us to seek the truth within. The class opens and closes with a mantra for awakening bliss, "Om Ananda", chanted by Séan as he plays the harmonium and drum. The physical practice begins with seated postures and then advances playfully into a series of challenging sun salutations and standing poses for creating strength, radiance and inner peace. Postures include standing split, triangle, warriors one, two, and three, half moon, eagle, dancer, boat, bow and a series of extremely relaxing reclining postures.

The class title comes from an amazing poem by Mary Oliver titled "The Buddha's
Last Instruction" which Séan recites at the beginning of class. Then be led
on an adventurous journey through an unusual sequence of challenging postures
to stoke your
inner light. The class includes creative ways of moving from standing to seated
poses, and lots of opportunities to build core and upper body strength. If
you're
tired of doing the same sun salutations this is a great class for you!
Staff note: We found this combination a tad confusing but well worth learning
since it is so unique and fun. For clarification the sequence starts in downdog,
the right leg is raised in the air and threaded under the left, unweight your
left hand, turning to the left and come to seated (dhandasana) facing the back
of your mat, raise the arms over head while you inhale, exhale fold forward,
rise to boat (navasana), come forward to squat (malasana) prep and take crow
(bakasana) and repeat on the left which brings you back around facing the front
of your mat. Enjoy!

With his rich imagery and soothing voice, Seán guides you on a tranquil
journey through reclining, seated and standing poses to gently create physical,
mental and emotional flexibility. After an opening meditation on the breath,
and powerful relaxation excercises, you are invited to set your intention for
your practice - internally saying "namaste" to your own spirit, to chosen loved
ones, and to strangers. Then you are led through a gentle series of reclining
poses on your back to free the spine, open up fresh space in your joints, as
well as tone and energize the sides of your body. Move to seated postures
to continue to melt tension from your waistline and sides, ring out resistance
in your spine and stimulate energy in the legs. Between stages of rest in
child's pose, melt tension in the spine and hips with gentle flows from your hands
and knees. Then continue to awaken prana in the legs and hips with a series
of more challenging crescent lunges. Rise to standing for some deeper forward
bends, twists and side stretches. Return full circle to reclining on your back
for closing twists and be coaxed into a state of blissful peace for the final
phase of deep relaxation. The session concludes with a mantra prayer sung
by Seán and a chant for peace, "Om Shanti, Shanti, Shanti". This class puts
a strong emphasis on side stretches, forward bending and twists.
This deliciously relaxing class begins with deep, sensual
connection and meditation on the purifying life force of the breath. Seán then
sets the mood for the class by singing an original lullaby with the mantra "Om
Namashivaya" accompanied by the Indian organ, the harmonium. The class
progresses with reclining and seated poses to awaken flexibility in the legs
and release tension in the back, including gentle forward bends and twists.
Stress in the shoulders is melted with a series of calming standing poses.
Other explorations include lunges, cat/cow rolls, downward facing dog,
soothing neck stretches, and a peaceful round of alternate nostril breathing.
The session concludes with bridge poses, bound angle pose, and a guided
self-massage, followed by a closing relaxation period accompanied by a
reprise of Seán's lullaby.
This class focuses on working with gentle flows as well as sustained poses
for cultivating subtler awareness and opening to the wisdom of the inner
teacher. Inspiration for the class comes from Rumi's poem "I Have Such A
Teacher", translated by Coleman Barks, which Seán reads throughout the
class. Poses explored incude child, downward dog, forward bends, side
stretches, triangle, warrior two, reclining twists and butterfly. The theme of
the class is about lovingly emptying ourselves so we can be filled up with
the beauty of the Universe. Seán also sings a lullaby invoking Shiva, the
spirit of transformation, during the final relaxation period.
